Jackie Insinger
FOUNDER
There was never any question I would work with children in a meaningful capacity. Insinger Insights is a calculated marriage of over 20 years of experience, education, research innovation, science and passion. The combination of these unique ingredients has led me to develop this individualized application that can positively shift the emotional and academic development of your child.
I grew up in Miami, Florida, in a close-knit family that placed great value on education and achievement. My mother has her M.Ed., my sister is a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, and my father earned a Ph.D. in Statistics and developed the acclaimed Print® assessment methodology – which is the foundation for Insinger Insights’ Print for Kids®.
Upon high school graduation, I attended Duke University and majored in Developmental Psychology to study cognitive and emotional development in individuals from birth to 18 years. After graduating with honors, I moved to NYC and worked as both a kindergarten teacher and in marketing at Scholastic, the world’s largest children’s book publishing company.
With an insatiable curiosity about how children learn and understand, my next stop became Cambridge, MA. There I earned a self-designed master’s degree at Harvard University Graduate School of Education in Cognition and Education. This truly formative experience allowed me the opportunity to study under groundbreaking heroes in the field of education. I am still honored to have learned directly from Howard Gardner, the founder of the Multiple Intelligences Theory, and perhaps the greatest contributor to modern learning analysis.
After receiving my degree I developed behavioral and personality analyses for a website that was eventually purchased by Monster.com. I soon realized that I could make the greatest impact working directly with children, helping parents better understand and work with their child’s individual learning style. So, I created Learning Matters, a successful private practice that specialized in providing solutions for children with learning and emotional challenges — experience that would eventually shape the transformative Insinger Insights model.
With Insinger Insights, I have now realized my life’s work. Using proprietary assessments and empirical results, I coach parents on how to best motivate and communicate with their children—and how to place them in learning situations that chart a personal path to successful development.
